A RANGE OF SERVICES FOR ALL AGES

Bethel VNA offers a wide range of services, from prenatal to end-of-life care. We help persons who are high-risk, disabled, or acutely, chronically or terminally ill to stay at home. Our home health care experts bring strong clinical credentials and years of Bethel VNA experience to your home. You and your family will receive individualized information about your comprehensive treatment plan and patient rights. Depending on your needs, services are provided by an individual or a team of specialists on a part-time, intermittent or hourly basis.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

Skilled Nursing Services
Registered Nurses supervise and coordinate nursing and personal support services and provide health assessments, acute care, long-term care, case management and health education.

Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation therapies are provided by licensed Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapists.

Nutritional Counseling
A licensed Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian provides professional dietary assessment and counseling.

Social Work Services
A licensed, master’s-level Social Worker provides assessment, psychosocial counseling and community resource information and referrals.

Specialty Programs

Bethel VNA specialty programs include:

  • Cardiac Disease Management Program – Cardiac patients receive scheduled phone monitoring and education from a cardiac nurse after their acute care with the goal of improving the quality of their lives.
  • In-Home Telehealth Monitoring – Easy-to-use, wireless home measurement devices make it possible to gather patients' vital signs data from their homes. For more information, go to: www.medical.philips.com/goto/telemonitoring.
  • Lifeline® Emergency Response System – Lifeline helps seniors or disabled people live with greater independence and dignity in their own homes by providing fast help at the push of a button in the event of a fall or an emergency. For more information, go to: www.lifelinesystems.com.
  • Maternal-Child Care – Registered Nurses visit new mothers and newborns in their homes to provide instruction and support and to address postpartum concerns.
  • Therapeutic Ultrasound – Therapists use deep heat to promote mobility and enhance circulation.

  • Terminal/Palliative Care – Expert, compassionate care from our specialty-trained palliative care team brings comfort to patients and their families who face a life-limiting illness at home.

  • Wound Care – Bethel VNA skilled nurses use the most current treatments, including negative pressure wound therapy, to treat difficult and hard-to-heal wounds. Digital photos of wounds can be e-mailed or hand-delivered to physicians on the same day.

Personal Support Services

Gentle, Caring, Compassionate, Reliable, Dependable and Professional… Qualities you can rely on from our personal support services staff

  • Home Care Aides assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, safe ambulation, transfers and exercise.
  • Homemakers perform light household duties such as laundry, meal preparation, general housekeeping and shopping.
  • Volunteers provide companionship, emotional support, and help with personal projects.

We can also help you arrange additional support services such as respite care, adult day care, shopping, home-delivered meals, durable medical equipment and case management.

As a community health expert, Bethel VNA routinely addresses community-specific health and wellness issues. We sponsor health events, screenings and clinics, and work closely with our communities to improve public health and wellness.
